Remember Daniel Hooper’s iPad keyboard demo? It involved dragging cursor to highlight a portion of text and several other gestures to make text editing on the iPad much easier. Taking this awesome idea into consideration, iOS developer Kyle Howells has created a jailbreak tweak SwipeSelection that imitates the Daniel’s original demo video.
SwipeSelection app has earned a lot of positive comments because of the wonderful functionality and convenience that it brings to edit text on the iPad. Even infamous Apple critic John Gruber felt (after watching Hooper’s video) that existing iPad lacks required text editing feature and called the video – “clever iPad text editing concept”. The tweak gives you another reason to jailbreak and shows you just how awesome the jailbreak community is.
If this is the kind of tweak you’re interested in trying out, just head over to the Cydia store and search for SwipeSelection under BigBoss repo.
